The Opticon PHL8000 series consists of ruggedized PDA  style terminals.  All are equipped with Windows CE5.0 making them eminently suitable for industrial computing and data capture applications.

The PHL8000 series all feature Bluetooth and 802.11 Wireless LAN as standard, and units with GSM/GPRS/EDGE are also available for wide area networking applications.  Additionally all units ship with a USB communications cable.

Designed to handle tough working environments, the Opticon PHL8000 series are all sealed to IP 65 standards, and designed to withstand 1.5 metre drops to concrete.  This high level of robustness is unprecedented at this price point.  The terminals feature a large, bright LCD display, designed to provide excellent viewing in dim or bright lighting.

Unlike some terminals the Opticon PHL8000 series all feature a high performance barcode scanner, and included with every terminal is a standard lithium ion battery.
