How to scan products into Sage using the new "barcode" field in Sage Version 2010
Sage has introduced a new “barcode” field into their new Sage 50 Accounts version 2010.
To make practical use of this new “barcode” function, you can attach a barcode scanner through Enhanced Order Entry, and scan products directly into new Sales Orders or Invoices. This is ideal for a trade counter or trade showroom which doesn’t need the complications of a full e-POS system.
Enhanced Order Entry is an authorised third-party add-on for Sage Line 50.
Using a standard barcode scanner connected via USB, order lines can be quickly and easily added to each new sales order by scanning the barcode, automatically using the new “barcode” field to look-up the correct product code to be added.
