Based in Borehamwood, North London, Merchandise Mania are a leading designer and supplier of promotional and marketing products.
Able to offer a vast, ever growing array of products, they needed a powerful, accurate, yet simple system to manage their stock and to make life easier for the staff working in the warehouse.
To complicate matters, the stock is held in Merchandise Mania's warehouse, with the accounts and administration teams in the Company's showrooms two miles away!
The right solution
STOCK+ proved to be the ideal solution, with the Psion Workabout Pro G2 terminals being a particular hit.
A wireless LAN connects the terminals in the warehouse with a secure SDSL tunnel linking the two locations.
Streamlined stock handling
Today when an order is placed by a customer, either over the web, or by telephone or fax, the warehousing team get the details immediately. STOCK+ ensures that the right goods are despatched and received, and even lets operators know where they should be stored. The Warehouse Manager is able to schedule stock takes and review the results on screen before committing values to Sage.
Items with serial number can be tracked, both incoming and outgoing and where barcode labels are either damaged or missing, new labels can be generated and printed easily.
