Successful order processing is dependent upon accurate order entry. 'Enhanced Order Entry' provides numerous enhancements to the basic Sales Order Processing (SOP) that is supplied with Sage Line 50 Financial Controller.

It can speed up order entry and reduce mistakes. Telephone orders can be handled in a more professional manner, as customer queries can be dealt with in a more professional manner.  The right product can be quickly identified and mistakes avoided.

It's simple to set up and easy to learn. Training is minimised by using a consistent look-and-feel to the familiar SOP screen.

 

 

Six enhancements for product entry

  • Barcode Scanning

Save time entering sales orders by simply scanning barcodes. Scan either your own product codes, EAN numbers or other manufacturers bar-codes.

  • Enhanced Product Search

Full text search for products. Products matching a customer requirement can be located fast. This makes it possible to identify the right product when your customer only knows it by name or by a different code.

  • Check Product Availability

View the product availability for Stock-Items as and when you add each order line. No longer toggling between SOP and Stock screens to find out how many are in stock.

  • Out-Of-Stock items and Alternative Products

A warning message can be displayed when attempting to add an out-of-stock item to advise your customer, or you can choose to prohibit back-orders.  Alternative products can be listed when the first choice is out of stock.  Pop-up product images and detailed descriptions aid the inexperienced telesales person.

  • Price Lists and Promotional Pricing

Apply pricing from the customers' normal Price List, or enter all orders using one single Price List such as a price list for the Showroom or Exhibition.  Promotional pricing can be set for selective items using a promotional Price List.

  • Hide Obsolete Products

Use this option to hide disused and obsolete product codes. It removes the clutter from your product list and at prevents future, unwanted, sales.

 

 

Five enhancements for customer accounts
 

  • Easy Customer Search

    Full text search to identify customers. This allows telesales to easily find customers when your customer has forgotten their account code. Search by customer name, any part of their address or simply ask the customer for their postcode to cast that professional image.
     

  • Postcode Look-Up

    Save time and reduce mistakes when entering invoice or delivery addresses. Optional UK postcode lookup for new customer addresses and delivery addresses. Uses the popular Postcode Anywhere service (usage charge applies).
     

  • Customer Purchase History

    View only those items which a customer has previously purchased. This makes it simple to assist customers when they ask, "for more of the same from last month". 
     

  • New Customer Information

    Mandatory capture of customer information when creating new customer accounts. For example, make contact telephone numbers mandatory or prompt for marketing information such as Source of Enquiry or Promotional Codes.
     

  • Structured Customer Account Coding

Force your users to create new Customer Accounts in a structured manner e.g. SMITH001, SMITH002 etc.   Names can also be structured as Title, Forename and Surname.

 

Four enhancements for order processing
 

  • Reduced log-in to Line 50.

Users can enter Sales Orders without being logged in to Sage. This can lighten the load and improve the performance of Line 50 in a multi-user environment.

  • Fixed Delivery Options

    Removes the vagaries of entering carriage costs. A menu is displayed of your Delivery charges from which one can be selected.  This option restricts the entry of carriage costs to predefined amounts.
     

  • Total Order Weight

Total order weight can be calculated for each new order.

  • Enhanced User Permissions and Control

Complete control to lock down sales prices, discounts, and tax fields so that users are prohibited from changing prices or offering erroneous discounts.
