Technical Specification

Stock + Runs as a client/server application ensuring speed, reliability and security.
The Core Server handles all of the communications with Sage ensuring that the clients have access to only the information which they need and that accounts information remains absolutely secure.

Since nothing is stored on the handheld terminals, there is no risk of data loss if one of these is lost, or stolen,

Core Server 

  • Written using Microsoft .NET architecture for fast, secure, efficient code.
  • Runs as a Windows Service for zero administration requirements.
  • Uses Microsoft SQL server for secure storage of data.
  • Scales easily from 1-100 users.
  • Designed for the Sage Line 50 User

The system has been designed to meet the stock handling requirements of companies using Sage Line 50. It scales perfectly from single user, to multiple users without any negative performance issues.

Client Devices

  • Written using Microsoft.NET architecture for fast, secure, efficient code.
  • Desktop 'Barcode Admin' software runs on Windows XP Pro, Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows Server 2003/2008
  • Windows CE handhelds from Psion Teklogix, Opticon and Datalogic are supported running CE4.2, CE5.0, CE6.0

System Requirements

Like any system a Stock+ installation has certain requirements which should be met in order to operate correctly:

  • Sage Line 50 Financial Controller / Sage 50 Professional V11 - V17 (2011)  (Future releases of Sage Line 50 will be supported via our support agreement and ongoing development)
  • 802.11b/g wireless network operating at 'Good' or 'Excellent' in all areas where terminals will operate. (We are able to assist with Wireless Lan requirements)
  • 240V Mains power for terminal charging stations
  • 100/1000 Cat5 network point for Core Server
  • Broadband internet connection for remote support

Windows XP Professional, Windows Vista Business, Windows 7 Business, Windows 2003 Server, Windows 2008 Server (Server operating system recommended for 5+ users)

2GB RAM (More RAM boosts performance)

40GB Free Hard Disk Space

Uninterruptible Power Supply recommended

100 Mb/s Wired Network (recommend 1Gb/s Network)

Computers running Barcode Admin- Minimum Specification

Windows XP Professional, Windows Vista Business, Windows 7 Business, Windows 2003 Server, Windows 2008 Server

512MB RAM (1GB+ Recommended)

2GB Free Hard Disk Space

100 Mb/s Wired Network Wired or Wireless connectivity
